The Process
Aftercare International is an advocate of anti-human trafficking efforts. They are dedicated to supporting trafficked survivors on their journey to healing and freedom. We believe in a world where all people are treated with dignity and respect, and where exploitation has no place.
The Problem –
Currently, Aftercare International’s website isn’t offering its maximum potential, therefore its reach. While informative and operationally branded, it doesn’t currently communicate that its work is relevant and accredited, as the user experience is very out of date and difficult to follow. The website needs an elevation to its baseline industry standard and application of its beautifully branded elements (as seen on social media).. but of course we won’t stop there. The good news: It’s all there. We just need to make it clear and beautiful.

The Goal –
The goal of this project is to create a bold, creative, and compelling website that clearly communicates the mission and story of Aftercare International, ensuring that the web presence, through marketing materials, and social media work together cohesively.
Let’s say it this way: We want to make the website beautiful so more people can not only enter into the story that Aftercare International is telling, but also can become increasingly more informed about what human trafficking is… and how it can be stopped.
Needs:
Digital homebase (Website), updated/relevant/optimized branding (maximizing potential), clarity on services, clarity on user journey, credibility, updated user experience, strong digital presence across platforms, fully clear communication.
Focusing on:
+ Content: Refine and structure content to clearly communicate the heart, standing impact, future impact, and call to actions.
+ Strategy: Ensure the website is simple and intuitive by refreshing UX/UI and structuring content in a way that guides visitors toward taking actions like donating, learning, and getting involved.
+ Design: Apply the brand on social media to the website, incorporate fresh photography, graphic elements, and modern designs to bring the website back to life.
+ Development: Build a seamless, user-friendly website experience that is compelling, easy to navigate, and designed for long-term growth and adaptability.
The Gameplan
Discovery
+ Industry Peer Audit. We’ll do some research. We want to ensure that the way Aftercare International is positioned for its online presence is appropriate for their field of work and is equally communicating the heart of the organzation well. We want to assess the market, other organizations in their network, and see what’s working and what’s not. The mission is too important to be missed.

+ Design & Messaging. We’ll develop wireframes first, then mockups, focusing on the UX/UI experience and content clarity for your audience. What’s needed from your end will be clearly communicated upfront and we will provide you all necessary links to pass over anything we will need to build your website (think Google Docs for content, links to your Dropbox for asset downloads, questions from us answered by you).
BUILDING
+ Gather Assets. At the point of project kick off, we’ll have received your designed items, including photography, logos, current brand guide, and anything else. If we haven’t yet, there will be a button below where we’d love if you’d add them.
+ Website. We’ll setup the website on a staging link for the entirety of the build and edits. This is the link we’ll go back and forth on before final approvals and going live on the original domain, aftercareinternational.org.
+ Contact Forms & Newsletter Signups. We’ll create a line of communication with your audience and you. We’ll provide a few places on your website for people to sign up to follow along your journeys around the world, your thoughts, your wisdom, and really a great glimpse at the many hats you wear.

The Steps
01. SHAKE Hands
Once the details of the project are finalized and approved, we’ll pencil in your project start date. To seal the deal and secure the dates, please review and sign our service agreement and submit your deposit online or by check.
Payment Portal upon Project Kick Off
02. Inspiration
This process can be done for fun, as we always find clarity helpful not harmful.. but since you already have a beautifully established brand, it seems you may not need to outwork these for this project. We’ll let you decide. If you choose to fill them out, on your Kick Off Call, we’ll go through your workbooks together. If not, we’ll get into the weeds on our call.

03. REVIEW + REVISE
Client Page. Your project information will be presented to you through a personalized Client Webpage built into our website, much like this one, and a video walk through (upon request). This will include brand guidelines and final website. In addition to receiving your links, we will schedule a zoom call or coffee meeting so you can take it all in and digest before sending back your feedback. There will be 2 opportunities to review our work and send your revisions so the final product is perfect.
The website review will work similarly–we’ll send you a staging link to review and a Google Document to type up your revisions before we make any updates to your live website. There will be 2 rounds of revisions to make sure your website is perfect and wonderful!
04. Lift Off!
Your finalized Client Page will be delivered with your website style guide and any other style points that helped aid us in the development of your website. This also remains your client portal page through the duration of any work you do with us in the future. You can also use this page to reference to maintain brand integrity.
Once you’ve given your approval & final sign offs, we’ll make your new website live and work with you to test and make sure everything is working properly before your official launch. Then, we celebrate of course!

The total cost of The Process above is $9,960. Additional time is by a la carte cost at $120/hr. Expedited Tasks (1-2 business days): $135/hr.
A initial deposit of $1,494 (15%) saves the time on our calendar;
You are then given the option to either to pay in 50/50 installments— 50% due the week of project kick off & 50% due upon project delivery, or 30/40/30— 30% due the week of project kick off, 40% before development kickoff starts, 30% upon final delivery.
